Programming

Successful programming relies on a strategic approach that encompasses the following: program planning, documentation and evaluation, developing partnerships within and between organizations for collaboration, and documenting processes, outcomes and results for future improvements. My experience with program development is multifaceted from developing programs for higher-education students, faculty and staff to grassroots development work in the Peace Corps.

The Princeton University Ecology Representative Program (EcoReps)

The mission of the EcoReps is to promote the integration of sustainability into life on campus in alignment with the Sustainability Action Plan. Through their efforts, the EcoReps aim to see every Princeton student adopt at least one aspect of sustainable living into their daily lives, and to understand the value of sustainability for themselves, their communities, and the environment.

I oversaw the entire EcoReps Program for Princeton University’s Office of Sustainability, including:

  • Writing job descriptions, recruiting applicants, overseeing hiring, and performing performance reviews.

  • Guiding project development and execution, mentoring students as they build their communications and outreach skills.

  • Developing a training module and trained students in Office principles, partnerships, communications guidelines and best practices.

In 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I overhauled all student programming due to the virtual environment and redefined what engagement means virtually.

Career Programming

In 2020, I piloted the Princeton Student Alumni Climate Connection, in order to expand alumni outreach and mentoring opportunities and make environmental careers more accessible to all Princeton University students. Through this program I developed an Alumni Career Mentoring program with 56 participants, a database with over 100 alumni in environmental careers and curated a spreadsheet with recent internship and fellowship opportunities. I also partnered with the University’s career centers, sustainability employers and alumni to organize several career events for current students.

Let’s talk programs!
