COMMUNICATIONS & CONVERSATIONS

A Gathering for Higher Education Sustainability Professionals

Communications & Conversations will be
taking a year off in 2024

In just its second year, the conference has grown at an exciting rate, and I am grateful to all of you for your engagement, support, and feedback. I'll be using this next year to evaluate and plan for 2025.

In place of the conference this year, consider joining the summer Communications Cohort!

Whether you're a seasoned professional or new to higher education sustainability communications and outreach, this cohort is for you! Take time before the start of the school year to develop an effective communications strategy. The cohort will meet virtually for five weeks and dive into topics like key messaging, social media strategies, storytelling techniques, content creation, scheduling and metrics, behavior change principles, and more each week. Plus, there will be ample opportunities for discussion, workshopping, and practice. Templates and take-home activities and resources will be provided, as well as optional 1:1 coaching and discussion debriefs with your cohort members.

About the Conference

In order to truly be leaders in the sustainability movement, we must build capacity for impactful communications.

That is the goal of Communications & Conversations, a gathering for the higher education sustainability community. This virtual conference will review best practices and guidelines in communications and guide sustainability professionals in practical skills. Participants will have the opportunity to develop and refine their own communications strategies as well as build their professional networks.
